How do I write a reservation to the delivery person in the event of damage?

When a delivery is signed for, it is important to follow certain steps to report any damage. Here is the key information you need to know:

Before signing the delivery note

If the delivery requires a signature, you must absolutely check the condition of the goods before signing the delivery note. The delivery person must wait while you carry out this check.

If the delivery person refuses to wait, you may :

Refuse the goods,

Ask for it to be delivered by another delivery person.

If the goods are damaged

Solution 1: Refuse the goods

If the product is clearly unusable, you can refuse the goods and write an admissible reservation on the delivery note. You must also notify us within 24 hours.

Solution 2: Acceptance with reservations

If you accept the goods in spite of the damage, indicate your reservations on the delivery note. This will enable us to find a solution (replacement, repair, compensation, etc.).

You must then contact us within 24 hours with the following information:

-a photo of the reservation made

-photo of the tracking label

-photos of visible damage to the packaging

-photos of damage to the products

How do I make an acceptable reservation to the delivery person?

For a reservation to be taken into account, it must be precise and detailed. It is essential to indicate :

The number of damaged items,

The product reference or name,

A detailed description of the damage.

‘1 rim out of 4, named Turbine GreenDrive 20‘’, scratched on the front of the rim.’

Examples of reservations:

‘Damaged product.’
