# What are credit notes on my customer account?

Credit notes are refunds made on one or more of your orders. 

This is the accounting document that justifies the refund in the same way that an invoice justifies a purchase. 
You have therefore received the amount of the credit note directly into your bank account and it is therefore not an amount to be used on our site. 

If we credit you with an amount to be reused on a future order, you will find it in your Reward account.
